HOLLA all my loving lillies!! I finally have a few great quality pictures from my four day getaway from the haystacks! I’m sure I’ll add more pix as the lighting gets more attractive #instagram XP All the outfit details will be captioned in the wardrobe changes 🙂 For now I hope you all enjoy and comment in the empty boxes below. Thanks ya’ll and happy hump day!
HI LILLIES! Missed you all 😀 I feel like I’ve been absent for quite some time (I’m sure you were getting used to those daily posts). But I’m back on the work grind and I NEED to film some shopping/ shoe hauls for you! Chicago was the best four day weekend in a LONGGGGGGGG time. More pictures to come!! Especially those outfits 😉 But here is what I wore on day one of Chi-town’s train excursions.
cotton pale purple capris: Target
blue skinny belt: TJMaxx
tank top: Shopbop
tweed double-lined blazer: W118 by Walter Baker
mint scarf: Audrey Brooke by DSW
crossbody cheetah print bag: Aqua Madonna (Marshalls)
black suede fringe sandals: Coconuts
I was at a Barnes & Noble cafe the other day flipping through fashion magazines as usual when I stumbled upon this purse called the Camille! Speechless and honored was I; moreso a loss of words when I saw this. I could not believe my eyes! To be amongst the few starry eyed celebs such as Blake Lively (and other models named after shoes and handbags) is a dream come true ❤ Could it be that J-Choo finally came to her senses and named an uber fashion handbag after moi? Thank you from the humblest of opinions! *_* (<<<totes just pulling your leg, believe you me my ego is not that high)
Here are what the designers at Jimmy Choo came up for how I look! I must say that I'm loving the all white mixed with the pop of animal print. The tan/ beige-ish one looks similar almost to Chanel! I would also pair it head to toe mirroring the model's mix of tropical patterns.
Last night I was going through some camera pix and noticed I forgot to add these! So sorry D: I know how much it is killing you all. But at least you’ll get to see me in one of them! Indulge because it’s a fantastic Friday in June!!!
I know it’s not the end of the week yet but I thought, heck I have a day off why not update my style page! Here are the 5 outfits I wore to work this week, ranging from bright and bold to laidback luxe. The weather was drab and it was difficult to look fab! LOL You know that rainy weather…didn’t experiment much with makeup since it was all gloom and doom. But I think I made up for it with my colorful palette of clothes! Whadya think? I wanna hear in the comments 🙂 Don’t forget to click on my style page for mini lookbooks for these outfits.
The Style Strategy is a small, yet elegant, fashion help book designed to give some direction and organization on one’s wardrobe. Nina Garcia, infamously famed Project Runway judge, writes her strategy on selecting personal style without breaking the bank (well, not too much). The above picture is Ms. Garcia, Jennifer Aniston look-a-like and all, in one of her many, solidly-chic plain sheath dresses.
On PR the show portrays her as an un-reachable, devil-ish figure with lavish and exquisite taste. And while this may be true of the runway judge, Nina relates to the fashionably-challenged public in a short and witty manner commentating on fashion 101 throughout the ages. (For some reason I noticed lots of Civil War/ WWI/ WWII mentionables in there lol).
But I found myself pushing through fashion rules that I already knew prior to being a fashion student, because her interpretation on dressing well this day and age was refreshing. She wants to bring out the best and brightest, most creative, YOU! Instead of dictating what to wear to various occasions, she states updated ways on how to transform the classics…much like she does living in the dog eat dog world of Manhattan.
The book is well orgaized planning out three distinct sections:
I. What you have
II. What you need
III. What you want
Each chapter is broken down into further detail of course and there was never a dull moment. Between the high fashion illustrations by Ruben Toledo and inserts from Tim Gunn I found myself turning pages, eager to finish the book. Now, I’m not saying this is the best fashion masterpiece but for $3.99 at TJMaxx you can’t get a better deal on styling tips than that. The glossary provides listings of the best vintage shops in major metropolitan cities and websites worth perusing your fashionable buck! From one bargain shopper to another, I’d say that’s money well spent on an investment coffee table book.

I don’t know about you guys but it’s been a while since I’ve seen a decent fashion show. Well, a beauty pageant isn’t EXACTLY a fashion show but it’s pretty darn close! Stay tuned tomorrow night at 9pm on NBC … Continue reading
