Wailea beach day

I finally succeeded at what I wanted most to do more than anything in Hawaii, have a lazy beach bum day. I love a good pineapple tour as much as the next buttoned-up golf shirt guy with purple Plumeria leis, but a girl’s gotta tan! I was Snookified and overcome with Pauly D disease-TANorexic! Can you believe I did not get to step foot on rocky, Hawaiian sand until the last day of our trip?!?! Pshhh yeah. I was pretty mad too but at least I got proof in pictures 😀 My Vicky Secret ruffle suit and floppy hat saw the light of day and the weather could not have been more cooperative 🙂

OH and I can cross paddle surfing off my To Do list! The true teal waters were serene yeah right! More like riding a choppy helicopter LOL but it is true according to Adrianna from The Hills..nonetheless, great ab workout and full-body!

Paddle Surfing. Stamina required.

Those waves are no joke. Yogalates did not prepare me for this!

The Road to Hana, Maui

Who woulda thunk it-a winding tourist attraction home to the East side of Maui’s dangerous, mountainous curves. Well our second day in Maui was a 12 hour day trip viewing some of the most breathtaking flora, fauna, scenery, and Hawaiian history all jam packed with 20 other bus riders from the Midwest. The weather really played with us that day; did a little rain dance, got hot, got cold, and almost blew me away off a scary slippery slope! LOL The pictures will illustrate this, passing through different climate zones but I assure you we are still on the island of Maui!

black sandy beaches exist here! :O

Would not have survived without my minty scarf.

Cliff posing before the end of our Hana roadtrip. Must. not. look. down.

Fedoras conceal all. Even the worst undereye bags!!

A hammock was meant to be here, under me lying on it lol

Maui wharf stroll

This outfit is actually impromptu because prior to airport departure time this is the closest thing I had to jeans. Oops. How was I supposed to know Maui is way more breezy, beautiful, Covergirl? 😛

I picked the perfect day to pair my Target tunic with my favorite head accessory, a mustard-yellow turban. Would you be brave enough to wear this outfit in front of tourists and California cool people alike? I also love how the ikat printed platforms match the greenery on my shirt! When in Rome..do as the Romans do! 😉

Let’s play a game since we’re all bored. Who do you think overpacked?

Man oh man is it good to be back on my blog, or should I say lilypad! Hawaii pictures can be found from my trip here as well as Facebook but note that outfit-of-the-day photoshoots will be posted here 😀 It’s both good to be back on familiar ground and sad at the same time…I was almost beginning to think I was a native Hawaiian after staying in the Pacific for a week! I didn’t get to accomplish everything on my jet packed Hawaii list but we did good B) *Nor did I get to wear all my scheduled outfits–hmph!!–haha but family times like these you just got to roll with the punches..
